This wedding at Camp Michigania in Northern Michigan was a joyful and deeply meaningful celebration rooted in tradition and lifelong connection. The bride’s history with the camp spans generations — she, her parents, and even her grandparents all share memories here — making the weekend feel especially personal and heartfelt.
Guests embraced the full camp experience, enjoying a relaxed weekend filled with arts and crafts, archery, and time together in nature, all complemented by a festive food truck that added to the welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. The ceremony by the water was serene and beautiful, followed by dinner in the camp dining hall and an evening of dancing, drinks, and celebration.
One of the most memorable moments of the night was the Hora, as the bride and groom were lifted on chairs, surrounded by cheering friends and family. It was a powerful expression of joy, community, and shared celebration — a perfect reflection of a day devoted to honoring love, tradition, and the place that holds so much of their story.
